What is Pring?

Pring lets you share what you're upto with your friends via your cell phone or online in 140 characters or less

What Mobile Networks are supported?

We are currently running Open Beta Testing on Warid (9536), Ufone (414) and Zong (2323)

How much does it cost?

During Open Beta, Pring is free. Zong has graduated from Open Beta, CMPak will charge you Rs. 0.5+Tax (Around 60 paisa total) per SMS sent to us. Receiving SMS from us will be free, the website will always be free as well.

Do I need the internet to use Pring?

No, you can use this service entirely via SMS. Try it, send HELLO to 2323.

Is my phone number safe?

We promise not to send you any spam or give out your phone number

Can I use Pring over GPRS/WAP?

We plan to launch a reduced mobile version site soon

Where can I use Pring?

You can use Pring online anywhere in the world. However, to use it via SMS, you need to have a cell phone in Pakistan.

Can I use Pring outside of Pakistan?

Yes you can, via the web. However, it does not work on SMS outside Pakistan.

Why are my updates limited to 140 characters?

Because an SMS is limited to 160 characters. 140 saves 20 characters for the name.

How many people can I follow?

There is no limit on the number of people that you can follow

How many people can follow me?

There is no limit on the number of people who can follow you

Is Pring a replacement for Facebook SMS

No. Facebook SMS has a lot many Facebook specific features which we do not intend to develop.

I send a lot of updates on various topics however I've noticed recently that no one is being able to track my updates. And they do not appear on the public page as well. Any clues as to what may be going on?

You might have a private mode enabled. Send PUBLIC to disable this. You might want to read more about privacy settings on Help page.

I use your service but I want my friends to get on it as well. Any ideas on how I can spread the word?

Send us a vcard or send "INVITE number" and we'll send your friend a customized greeting on your behalf to join Pring.

Can I receive latest updates/news from around the globe, via prings?

You can subscribe to our selective list of RSS feed profiles and relax while pring aggregates the news in summary from the internet to your phone.Also access interactive content from the source site by clicking the link along with each news item.
