Residents of Islamabad have been deprived of an affordable public transport system since 1960.To address this issue a comprehensive Mass Transit Study is in progress while a pilot Rapid Bus Transit project based on International BRT Standards is in implementation phase.We need support & suggestions from the citizens of Isb.In order to make this project a success and this city as one of the best capitals in the world.

Have we ever thought about the plastic bags we throw in the streets and parks of ISLAMABAD without bothering what can happen to the environment? These non-biodegradable bags are affecting us and our environment badly. We need to start using reusable bags to deal with the environmental impact of plastic bags by discouraging plastic bags usage.

Environmental problems for our ISLAMABAD like extensive pollution, traffic, deforestation, availability of fresh water, effects of mining are the major concern areas. As we focus on the big national issues, I think focusing on micro issues at the grassroots is equally, or even more, important.

We all are concerned with the effects of unclean drinking water.Clean drinking water is important for our health and plays a substantial role. UNICEF reported that in 2010, 884 million people in the world used an unimproved drinking water source. We all need to conserve and stop its lavish use.

Yesterday a remote-controlled bomb blast hit the Shia mourners killed at least 18 marchers & wounded 50 others.The question of religious toleration need to be debated more as few extremists and hardliners are bringing bad name to our country. Followers of all religions & sects should respect one another to ensure peace and should understand that everyone has equal right to live.
